For our cities with Accela integrations, we have a feature that enables users to create or sign into their Accela Citizen Access account (where they can track and manage their projects post-OpenCounter) immediately after submitting their application.

In order to set this up, cities will need to configure their Accela set-up as follows:

  1. Go to the Public User portal in the admin

  2. Search for the user with the username=anonymous

  3. Make sure the user is both enabled and active for your City under the registered agencies tab

  4. You may need to attach a contact to the public user, if so you can add anything there it doesn't matter
